Ive seen this before, but not actually sure what its purpose is, did you have lumpy idling then? what map do you have on your car?

sorry, i should have looked up there i guess, im on 3a and had problems with idling properly, almost a regular miss albeit very slight, i wondered if the inlet manifold wasn't seated correctly after injector change, as i had problems with an O ring, pulled it all apart when put back together the idling problem had disappeared...
