I have owned my GTT for over two years now after owning a non turbo R33 for five and a half years before and I am loving every second even though she bankrupts me! Since I always knew I would one day upgrade to a turbo I decided to go for an R34 due to already owning an R33, I am slowly bringing her to how I want her and I am very proud to say she is mine :)

61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2013-03-10 20:19:46Pics, it was getting a bit dark:
Sadly the light surrounds and rear bumper have always been a different shade of white so it now really shows with a freshly sprayed boot lid! That's something on the list of whats to get done :)
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2013-03-09 13:45:10I finally bought some new wheels in December! I know a few will not like the fact I swapped Volks for Rotas but I have never been happy with the Volks and as common as they are, I love the look of the Rota Grid Drifts....
Popped her to Protyre never been there before, really good service!) and got two new tyres and got them to put the wheels on too so pleased with them!! I think I made the right choice with black, white would look awesome but quite like the hard look of the black Falling back in love with this car now majorly and can't stop looking at it as supposed to with hate for the last set of wheels!
Heres some pics:
I do have a little poke and a tiny bit of stretch, I didn't want to go too mad with that kind of look.
Now we are coming into Spring I am going to be spending a little more time on her as I have been a bad car Mum!!
Since the new wheels have gone on I have kerbed 3...boooooo :( so hopefully at some point I will get these refurbished which i'm pretty mad about!
Today I have just had my bootlid delivered after having the spoiler holes filled in and resprayed :) so happy with it, so shiney :)
Hoping to get this fitted today so I will get some more photos later :D

61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-08-12 22:41:54I went back to Monsterwraps today so Sean could finish off the bumper :) I quite like it :D
When I got home I heard a loud hissing noise, opened the bonnet to discover this pipe has split again!
So cut the split part off and reattached it, think I will need to get a new bit of pipe to replace this if it is going to keep happening :(
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-07-29 21:44:55I popped over to see my friend Sean at Monsterwraps yesterday to get the B pillar plastic carbon wrapped, its something i've been meaning to get done for a while as the plastic looked a little worn :(
Looks smart I think, small things make a difference!
Whilst I was there Sean suggested wrapping the bars where my numberplate goes in black, i'm quite a fan of that look on bumpers so figured i'd give it a try, I had a choice between carbon wrap and matt black, went for matt black to match the "skyline" panel which sadly he couldn't wrap but he had very little matt black left so it isn't completely finished, we just have the bit which is indented above the numberplate to go:
Putting the pressure on by watching him working! And the first bit finished: all looks easier than it is!
Waiting to hear when he has some more matt black in so will get it finished next weekend hopefully :)
She also has 5 litres of Petronas oil courtesy of Si at Hendy and an oil filter which will be done as soon as I can!
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-07-11 22:47:39I went to see my friend Paul to fit my spark plugs today :) they are pretty difficult to get to in the GTT he discovered so it took a while to get them done a long with having to stop a few times for the rain!
Engine in pieces:
Oooooh, nice and new!
Old and new comparisons!
Whilst under the bonnet, Paul noticed a possible reason for why there is water in the driver's footwell, I appear to be missing a plug under one of the windscreen wipers, not sure where to begin when it comes to finding a replacement!
He also noticed a split in a vacuum hose (I think I got that right) so sorted that too along with a rear bulb :D
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-07-04 19:02:46Today I changed the Skyline's battery all by myself, lame I know but i'm pretty proud! The old one was very old (had been in the R33 for over 6 years!) and it had failed me 3 times recently meaning I have needed to be bump started so a new one had to be bought.
Before (ignore the rust!)
Spark plugs are yet to go in but not so sure i'll be attempting those by myself! :)
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-06-29 16:51:09This will probably be the last entry for a while with the Skyline, theres not a great deal I need to get done to her but need a rest with money spending to start building my savings back up, to be fair currently on the list of things left to do is get her a new battery and get the seats and boot carpet cleaned along with getting her tiny rust patches sorted.
So, latest update I have had her wheels refurbished :) it took me a while to decide what blue I wanted to go for but in the end decided I wanted all kinds so settled on a dark metallic blue with the lips painted in a chrome effect paint.
Here are a few pics of the wheels before, annoyingly they look a lot better in photos than in real life but they were very corroded and bubbly :(
I picked the car up on Saturday and I can't quite put my finger on it but i'm just not sure, they have done an awesome job and I have received some very good feedback from people so far but I think they will take some getting used to, i've just come back inside from hoovering out the Skyline and I think the thing i'm not liking is the chrome effect paint? It just doesn't look right! But its been paid for so there's not a lot I can do about it, they come up looking awesome in photos so thats a good thing!
These two pics don't really show the true colour:
The car is parked on a slope here which is why she looks so high at the back!
These show the colour a bit better:
And a pic in the sun for sparkles:
So there you have it :) the little nuts that hold the rims together do let it down so hoping to find some new ones to replace them :)
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-05-13 15:10:16The Skyline spent the day in the sun yesterday at Japfest, I had an awesome day although heard a lot of people didn't due to queuing times :(
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-05-07 21:28:54Just another little update on the car whilst I desperately attempt to get on top of my savings! The windsceen wiper arms were looking a little tired and rusty so with the help of a friend (to be fair he did most of the work!) we got them looking lovely again :)
Wipers off (quite like the Skyline de-wipered!)
A quick pic of the rust, sorry its a bad picture, the phone wouldn't focus on the wiper blade)
All sandpapered up and rust removed :)
Next was primering:
And then a few coats of satin black:
Wipers back on the car:
I still have the wheels to be refurbished which is next on the list then I will be getting the other bootlid I have resprayed and hopefully put on the car for a slightly different look. I am toying with the idea of lowering her a bit, not stupid low but think I can drop her a tiny bit more :)
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-04-21 19:09:15I decided to fit my reverse and fog light covers today, not a difficult job luckily but once again no matter how hard I tried I could not get the LED bulbs to work even though I know they do....turns out you need the lights on for them to work, d'oh!
This is how they looked before, yukky and broken:
This is how they looked a little more before, I forgot to connect the bulb back in after taking it into Halfords so I lost the red lense cover whilst driving!
Started off with the reverse light as no bulbs needed to be changed, easy peasy :)
Then after my silly mistake, LED bulb in and all nice and red:
And the cover fitted:
The finished result, i'm quite pleased with myself and it looks a lot better than the two that were in there before:
At the moment neither are bolted in, to get to the holes I had to take the numberplate off but annoyingly one bolt will not budge so help is on its way, i'm hoping it won't be too difficult to get off :(
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-04-07 22:02:51Bit of a small and minor mod done to the car today, something i've been meaning to do for a while and actually attempted to have a go myself :) it was a bit fiddley and the connector was slightly bigger than the bulb I replaced so I have just shoved it in a bit bent and hoped for the best but it worked!
Looks much fresher now and you can only really see the results properly when it is dark but I think it looks great :D
61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-03-18 16:32:30As some of you know, my Clifford alarm majorly failed on me last week allowing someone to get into my car but fail so hard he couldn't steal the car nor take anything in it, we have been told he was caught on CCTV at 4:45am which was the exact time my alarm went off for a day at the Pod so he was out there whilst I was awake! He apparently tried to open the boot too, if he was clever he would have used the boot release lever in the car, i'm yet to see the video but will post it up for lols when I get my hands on a copy :)
So, she spent Friday at Anglesea Car Stereo for a brand new Cat 1 alarm and Immobiliser, I went for a Sigma on their recommendation, could really have done without spending the money but its a small price to pay to avoid losing the whole car!
Very simple to use and I'm now not so scared about leaving the car :) whilst she was there they took out the turbo timer so getting used to that not being there now :)

61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-03-09 18:33:16So, more bad luck for me (this car has to be cursed!) Quite early Wednesday morning we went to unlock the car but instead we locked it, my car alarm has a rare tendency to do this but what with me parking it behind a big gate every night it wasn't a big issue until I was at a friend's house! I noticed my glovebox was open and immediately knew someone had been in the car :'(
My Power FC Commander was still there so my next thought was my Satnav which I completely forgot to take out the car, it wasn't there :( luckily my friend had it in his hand, they had moved it to the back seat along with my demister from the door pocket?! They had pulled open all the compartments and had pulled the ashtray out along with my turbo timer, no damage to anything at all and not one thing was taken so I was stupid lucky...
I do not like the idea of someone being in my car at all :( I cannot figure out why they took nothing, I guess they just wanted the car and maybe got disturbed? Cannot believe how lucky they got with trying the car and it being unlocked!!
So, she spent the day at a car stereo and alarm shop today under my flat and stayed in a corner locked to see if anything happened, nothing! typical but the problem happened very rarely so I didn't expect them to catch it doing this.
My friend Nick messaged me and said his Clifford did exactly the same so after a chat to the guys at the shop i've booked her in for a whole new Cat 1 alarm and Immobiliser, not a Clifford this time, I believe it is a Signum on recommendation. Its the last thing I need and I don't seem to be getting nearer to spending money on things I want as supposed to important things but guess the realisation of almost losing my car means it has to be done as it could have been a lot worse!
I am toying with the idea of getting a snap off steering wheel, its not something i've ever wanted but now i'm uber paranoid :(

61 updates 37 followers 25 mods2012-02-27 00:07:51I was asked if I would offer the car as a wedding car for a well known member on Skyline-Owners-Club.com, of course I couldn't refuse! The big day was February 18th so she had a valet the day before and was perfectly clean in the morning but sadly it decided to pour with rain most of the day so the car turned up a little dirty but the bride was over the moon that I was able to lend the car for the big day :)
