Former car - no longer own this car25 updates 8 followers 8 mods2013-04-16 13:02:41Okay then. So I can now say that the van is 'rust free'. All the rotten metal has been removed and replaced.
Couple of photos:
Former car - no longer own this car25 updates 8 followers 8 mods2012-11-13 13:13:32I've bought the new suspension for 'Jimmy'. I've gone with a kit from AVO comprising 4 x 70mm lowered springs, and 4 x adjustable dampers.
I've also bought a new flush fuel filler cap, and some door poppers. Later this week i'm off to get the aluminium tread plate for the flat-bed.
Not really condusive to pictures, but exciting stuff nonetheless (for me)!

I am fortunate enough to have a picture of my van selected to go in the magazine as part of this article!
I've been up to see the van and discuss some more details with Alan. I realoly can't wait for this to be finished!
I was super excited when I saw it, and heres a snap from the mag.
Former car - no longer own this car25 updates 8 followers 8 mods2012-09-11 16:42:35So lots of work has been done to the Dub. As you can see in the blow post, all the rotten metal has been cut out.
New panels have been put on, and alot of fabrication work has been done.
I won't put all 200+ photos I have of the work, but here one to show where we are now:
Former car - no longer own this car25 updates 8 followers 8 mods2012-07-31 19:24:45So the van has come back to Creative. It's had all the scrap or rotten metal cut out of it including rear wheel arches, lower rear corners, short panels in front of the rear arches, o/s sill to side panel, front lower panel, side locker pillars and the entire flat-bed.
New panels have been ordered, arrived, and will be going on soon!
